The Wounded Warrior Regiment is a dedicated unit within the U.S. Marine Corps that provides vital support to wounded, ill, and injured Marines and sailors—whether their injuries occurred in combat, training, or in non-operational situations. Their mission is to help service members recover, return to duty when possible, or transition successfully into civilian life with dignity and purpose. The regiment offers a wide range of non-medical support, including transition planning, behavioral health resources, career and education guidance, family support, and VA benefits assistance.
What is the wounded warrior regiment?
While active-duty Marines receive healthcare coverage, many reservists and Marines who have transitioned out of active duty do not have the same access to care unless they pay out of pocket. This can make recovery and long-term support especially challenging for those no longer actively serving. The Wounded Warrior Regiment helps bridge that gap by offering resources, guidance, and advocacy to ensure that every Marine receives the help they need during some of the most difficult times in their lives.
